James (Jim) Doyle, Jerpoint West, Thomastown,Co. Kilkenny. Retired Garda, formerly of Athlone, Co Westmeath.

The death has taken place peacefully, of James Doyle in the loving care of the staff of St Columba’s Hospital Thomastown, surrounded by his loving family. 16th April 2025. Predeceased by his beloved son Conor, and his sister Mary Long. Deeply regretted by his wife Mary (Mossie), his brother Billy, his children Joan, John, Brendan and Jimmy. Also by Redmond, Mairéad, and Ber, his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Tirellan Heights, Galway

and formerly of Jerpoint Church, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny

May passed away on 26th July 2025, peacefully, surrounded by family and in the care of the staff of St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. May will be sadly missed by her sister, Nan Collins (Carlow), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

May is pre-deceased by her parents William and Kathleen, brothers Edmund, Joe, Larry, Liam and sisters Eilis, Gretta and Kathleen.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace

Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Monday (28th July) from 5.30pm to 7pm pausing for Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, Thomastown followed by burial in St. Mary’s New Cemetery, Thomastown.

 

 


The death has occurred of Sim (Simon) Langton Kilcullen, Thomastown, Kilkenny
July 4, 2025

The death has taken place of Sim (Simon) Langton, Kilcullen, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. 4th July, 2025.

Predeceased by his brothers Martin, Paddy, John and James, sisters Mary (O’Mahoney), Joan (O’Mahoney) and Margaret (James).

Sadly missed by his wife Bridie, daughter Marie, son Simon, son-in-law James, daughter-in-law Caroline, grandchildren David, Rachel, Abbie, Noah and Jack, brother Dan, sisters Barbara (Kearney), Bridget (Bannester) and Ann (Smith), Nieces and Nephews, extended family, Neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his residence (R95FK30) from 3pm to 7.30pm on Saturday 5th July, pausing for Prayers at 7.15pm. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, Thomastown followed by burial in St Mary’s New cemetery Thomastown.
