The theme this year is Catholic Schools:
Celebrating the work of our local Catholic Schools. On Wednesday Third Class in our National school celebrates Grandparents Day, inviting Grandparents to 9.30am Mass, followed with a visit to the School and a cuppa. So we’re saying thanks to all the people involved in the life of our
National School, and to the Grandparents who show such love for their grandchildren, and nourish their faith too! ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ is attributed to an African proverb. It is difficult to trace its origins, but it does hold the true spirit of many African cultures, meaning that irrespective of a child’s biological parents, its upbringing belongs to the community.
Catholic Schools Week runs from 27th Jan to 3rd Feb.
