The Dogma of the Assumption by Pope Pius XII tells us

that belief in the bodily Assumption of Mary

into heaven will make our faith in our own

 resurrection, both stronger and active’.

Mary is the horizon of whispering hope for us.

We make her gospel words our own:

‘The Almighty has done great things for me.’ (Luke 1:49)

Mary is a geography of grace,

a luminous landscape of light and love,

a heart of humility, humanity and holiness.

Mary echoes a prayer of

Promise, peace and presence

For all God’s pilgrim-priestly-people.

‘Blessed is she who believed’ (Luke 1:45)
